ooh…I’m reading this. Also, you should get Jason to get you into my Wednesday evening Go With The Flow yoga class. It starts Feb 10th 5:15. I think you’d like it.
Happy belated birthday, Cindy! I hope you're feeling better today (or very, very SOON). I love the feral fifties label. I'm in my 60s. I'll have to think of a good alliterative tag for that. But for now, I'd like to embrace the feral a whole lot more...
It sounds really appealing. Personally, as well as for the sake of the world. I love this Glennon Doyle quotation: What the world needs is more women who have quit fearing themselves and started trusting themselves. What the world needs is masses of women who are entirely out of control.
The feral fifties concept is fantastic and way more interesting than any midlife crisis narrative. Spending your 50th sick but eating macarons actually sounds perfect in a weird way, like the universe giving permision to slow down before the next phase. I turned 40 during lockdown so I totally get how life events can overshadow birthdays. Embracing irresponsibility after decades of adulting sounds exacty right.
Happy Birthday! I have loved your last few posts. Can't wait to read/hear more about Paris.
I also can relate to your sentiment about breaking rules. I liked this other Substack post recently, https://substack.com/home/post/p-178755685.
Hope to see you soon.

I would love to join. Will mark it down and try to make it. Thanks for letting me know.

Thank you! THe more I think about being feral, the more I want to embrace it.
